According to my little counter thingy on the side of my blog... it has been 8 months and 4 weeks since we committed to the girls. Today our dossier is on its way to get the ball really rolling. Since many of you adoptive moms understand the feeling of "being pregnant" that often accompanies adoptions, by the time my girls come home I will have a long overdue baby inside my heart! :)
BUT, PRAISING GOD TODAY, things are finally moving!!!!!
This is a BIG day!!! I am so rejoicing with you.
ReplyDeleteYou really think you'll get to go for the first trip in January???
So happy you will be travelling soon. We are still waiting for our referral. Praying it will be by summer next year! I have had a pregnancy of an elephant...way overdue.
ReplyDeleteCeleste, I REALLY will pray that your referral comes before then! Waiting is so hard!
ReplyDeleteAdeye, thank you, and yes if things move like they should I should be traveling in January. A friend is going with me, but she is unable to go the second week in January and the first week in February. So I we will see what happens, told her I wasn't waiting for her! LOL.... [she understands!]
I am so happy for you!I have been pregnant in my heart with our son for almost 2 yrs now.I can relate to what it feels like.We are praying we can bring him home before xmas.I hope you get to go in January!I cannot wait to hear all about the girls.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! You made me laugh with the title of this post - at least you are hanging on to your sense of humor! It won't be long now!!!
ReplyDeleteI am right there with you! We have been "so close" since April!(when our dossier was sent)Its been a long hard wait. I just hope the weight comes off after the paper pregnancy like it did with my others!!!
ReplyDeleteLOL... seriously, I know! I had better! Being a stress eater is not conducive to a great figure, esp. with an international adoption in the works! :)
